The ocean view from the room was absolutely stunning! It was so relaxing to sit in the chairs outside and take in the beauty of the waters. The hot water for showering was a big plus, especially after a long day of exploring. I also appreciated the well-equipped self-catering kitchen, it made it easy for us to prepare our own meals.

One thing that could be improved is the layout of the room. While it was generally big enough for two guests, it would have been nice if the bed could be positioned in a way that it's not as prominently visible from the outside.

The double room with kitchenette was nicely decorated and had a beautiful sea view. the sunsets were amazing. the location was great, with overnight security in the neighborhood and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the town's architecture. the room was clean, comfortable, and had good kitchen facilities.

Our ground floor room towards the road had a big glass door and windows, so we had to keep the curtains closed all the time, which took away from the sea view. Additionally, the toilet paper was poor quality and it would have been nice if the owner had promoted their spa and offered some kind of discount or service after we hiked the Fish River.

The only thing we didn't like was that the front door was right next to the road, so we couldn't keep it open. the wind was also quite strong, but we expected it since it's a windy area.

I had a very comfortable stay at Island Cottage Guesthouse. The location on Shark Island provided a great view and it was close enough to walk into town. The room was neat and tidy with a well-equipped kitchen. Despite the wind on the first day, I still enjoyed my visit to Kolmanskop. If I return to Luderitz, I would definitely book this place again. I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved the cleanliness and beautiful sea view from the hotel. The location, right next to the ocean on Shark Island, was perfect for enjoying the sunset walks and exploring the NWR camp on the peninsula. It was also a convenient walking distance to the city center where we could shop at Spar and try out the seafood restaurants.
