We had a fantastic stay at Shametu River Lodge! We spent 3 nights there and enjoyed every moment. The location on the banks of the Kvango river, with a view of Popa Falls, was simply breathtaking. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The chalets were beautifully designed in an African style, with all the modern amenities we needed. The food was absolutely delicious - some of the best we had during our entire trip in Namibia. We also loved the boat trip, where we had the opportunity to see hippos and crocodiles. The nearby small park provided a stunning self-drive experience. it was an unforgettable experience!

I had a fantastic experience at this lodge. the staff were extremely helpful and polite, making my stay even more enjoyable. the chalet I stayed in was spacious, clean, and offered a breathtaking view of the river. I particularly loved the swimming pool, which also overlooked the river, providing a truly relaxing atmosphere. the meals, both breakfast and dinner, were excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious options. the lodge had convenient on-site parking.

We loved our stay at Shametu! The tented chalet on the river was spacious and had air conditioning, which was a huge bonus. The half board option had delicious food and a great wine selection. We even had the option to have breakfast on the river for a small fee, which was definitely worth it. Our guide was excellent and pointed out hippo, crocodile, and a variety of bird sightings. As a family, we enjoyed the tranquil setting and the amazing views.

Felt like our own home, no complaints whatsoever.
