We had an unexpected week-long stay at an oasis in Kathmandu during the earthquake. The level of care and hospitality at Dalai-La Boutique Hotel was exceptional. Despite the lack of resources, we had more than enough food, water, and electricity. The spacious and comfortable rooms, impeccable housecleaning, and reliable front desk staff made our stay truly enjoyable. The hotel felt like an 'earthquake-free' zone, providing a safe and comfortable haven in the midst of chaos. I highly recommend this hotel for its safety, comfort, and reliability.

We loved this hotel! The location was perfect, right in the center of everything. It was walking distance to some amazing bars and eateries, and there were cheap taxis right outside. The staff were so friendly and helpful, always making sure we had a fantastic time. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a yoga room and gym onsite. The rooms were beautifully decorated with stunning traditional Nepalese art. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was delicious and we even got a packed breakfast hamper for our early departure.

Loved the friendly staff who were always going the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable. the power backups and heating provisions were extremely helpful given the frequent power cuts and chilly nights.

They even upgraded me to a room with a big balcony as I requested, which was a lovely touch. The rooms were comfortable and had all the basic amenities I needed, including a cozy bed and a balcony to enjoy the views. The breakfast served at the hotel was delicious and provided a great start to the day.

A hidden oasis in the heart of Thamel. The hotel had reliable hot water, air conditioning, and no power outages. The eco-friendly solar panels were a nice touch. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and English-speaking. The breakfasts and cappuccinos were excellent.
