i previously stayed in sauraha, but this place exceeded my expectations. the elephants were beautifully treated and the food was exceptionally delicious, especially the local dishes. overall, this lodge offers a unique blend of community support and relaxation that i truly appreciated.

My stay at Sapana Village Lodge was nothing short of magical. The excellent staff were attentive, ensuring all my needs were met. I enjoyed a beautiful bungalow surrounded by gardens, and amazing birdwatching opportunities were abundant. The dining experience was delightful, featuring freshly baked items each morning and many delicious Nepali dishes.

I had a frustrating stay due to numerous issues. Upon arrival, there was confusion over my room, which took a long time to resolve. The surrounding noise was unbearable, making it difficult to relax or get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the food was inconsistent, with one meal leaving much to be desired in terms of freshness and flavor.

The reasons I’m conflicted

The staff's friendliness and the gorgeous garden made our stay enjoyable. Celebrating a friend's birthday with a prepared cake showed their delightful attention to detail.

The breakfast selection was limited, and fresh juices were only offered on our last morning, which was disappointing.
