Stunning decor and a beautiful canal-side location.

No one offered to help us, which felt very inconsiderate. Additionally, we were disappointed by the lack of room service. our room wasn't serviced during our stay, supposedly to 'save the planet,' which seemed more about cutting costs than genuine environmental concern.

My experience was a bit challenging. The stairs leading to my room were quite steep and narrow, making it difficult to navigate with my luggage. It felt like an oversight that no one offered to assist me upon check-in. Additionally, I was disheartened to find that my room hadn't been serviced during my stay, which was quite disappointing for a boutique hotel.

Consider asking for assistance with your luggage if you're on a higher floor, as stair access may be challenging for some guests.

What a gem! I spent three incredible nights in a stunning loft, enjoying beautiful surroundings and breathtaking canal views. The staff's friendliness turned my stay into a truly welcoming experience. They provided great local recommendations, making my visit enjoyable and memorable. I can't wait to return!

The warm hospitality from Bonnie at the reception truly elevated my stay, along with the historic charm of the hotel. I especially loved the delicious breakfast, including made-to-order eggs—a delightful morning treat.

Had a great 2 nights. The standard room was nice, and the coffee machine was a huge plus! Loved that I didn’t need an adaptor for my devices. The location by the canal was super picturesque, just a quick stroll to the center. Also, shout out for the early check-in after our long flight from Australia!

stayed for one night and loved it! the staff was super friendly and gave us free drinks at check-in, which was a nice touch. the location is perfect near the canal and super quiet, but still close to everything. breakfast was amazin too, really pretty dining area and tasty food. oh, and the room was so comfy, loved the decor that reminded me of that golden age stuff.

only downside was the steep stairs which were a pain with luggage, and the shower could use some fixing.

I had a lovely 3-night stay. the continental breakfast was delicious with gluten-free options, and the charming decor was a delight, though I missed having a dedicated desk in my room. I would choose this place again!

huys van leyden is such a charm! loved the historical vibe, the staff was really friendly and helped me feel at home. the breakfast was delish with some gluten-free options which was super nice, and that canal side view is just beautifull. my room had a nice cozy feel to it and the bathroom was sleek—just loved it overall.

We stayed in a Standard Double room for 4 nights, and it was comfy overall. Bonnie at reception was super helpful, even got us a kettle when we asked. The room had a proper closet, which was nice. The decor felt charming, and the location by the canal was picturesque. Everything was clean, but the shower could be better. The breakfast vibe was great too! Just a heads up—the stairs are steep, so pack light!
