I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the bustling city center of Leiden. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the well-cared for grounds. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and had a good variety of options. a great experience!

I did find it a bit inconvenient that there were no signs indicating the way to the hotel upon entering the property.

Landgoed Oud Poelgeest - Leiden was a comfortable and modern hotel with spacious rooms, a separate toilet, and a nice bathroom with a new rainshower. the beds were extremely comfortable, and despite having a room with a view of the parking spot, it was very quiet throughout the night. the hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and they allowed my dog to stay with me for an additional fee. the breakfast had plenty of choices and the restaurant was lovely. the grounds of the castle were also beautiful and great for dog walks. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at a lovely, friendly place, with an unusual history, set in beautiful grounds. The room was modern and comfortable, and I enjoyed the quietness at night. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and the evening meal was a delightful surprise. The hotel's location in a park setting next to a moated old castle added a special charm to my experience.

Located in a peaceful park, perfect for birdwatching during breakfast. Modern rooms and a pleasant restaurant with a garden terrace. Conveniently close to Leiden and Noordwijk beach. Free parking for both cars and bicycles.

This hotel is a hidden gem nestled in the beautiful park of Oud Poelgeest-Castle. The modern extension building seamlessly blends with the historic remise, creating a unique and charming atmosphere. The location in the forest adds to the tranquility and natural beauty of the surroundings. The rooms on the garden with balconies that open out to the garden offer a peaceful retreat and stunning views.

No improvements needed, everything was great!

We spent our Easter weekend at this hotel and had a great time. First of all, we were impressed with the complementary Easter eggs and the basket of colorful flowers in our room upon arrival. the hotel is in a perfect location, with easy access to the nearby city and the beach. We also enjoyed the fact that we were allowed to bring our furry friend along. the room had a very comfortable bed and the rainshower in the bathroom was amazing and made us feel relaxed.

The wifi connection was a bit weak in our room and we had some difficulty connecting to it. the lock system of the door was a bit faulty as we had trouble unlocking it a few times.

the property is surrounded by large trees, blooming daffodils, and snowdrops, creating a stunning atmosphere. the highlight for me was the impressive Castelle and moat/lake on the property. the room itself was cozy and had all the essentials needed for a long weekend city break, including a comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a brilliant shower, and a TV. the staff at Landgoed Oud Poelgeest - Leiden were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend dining at the restaurant for dinner as the dishes are exquisitely presented and a delight for the taste buds. the hotel is conveniently located near Kagerzoom parkrun, which is just a 20-minute walk away, as well as Leiden station.
