I recently stayed at El Pital Chocolate Paradise for one night and it exceeded all my expectations. The location is perfect, with easy access to the lake and breathtaking sunset views. The dorm was clean and comfortable, and surrounded by lush vegetation. The staff was polite and always had a smile on their face, making me feel welcome. The highlight for me was definitely the food, which was some of the best I've ever had. The chocolate here is a must-try and is made with so much love. Thank you El Pital for a magical experience!

We had an amazing time at a chocolate paradise in a perfect spot for lake activities. the dorm was clean and surrounded by beautiful vegetation. the staff were friendly and always ready to introduce us to the magical world of chocolate. the food, especially the chocolate treats, were the best we've ever tasted. the location was ideal for exploring the island by bike or ATV.

The breakfast and smoothies at the cacao bar are delicious, made with fresh ingredients from their garden. The cacao tour and ceremony are life-changing experiences. The garden is full of biodiversity, with fruit, herbs, cacao, and flowers. The compostable toilet is eco-friendly. Waking up to the sight of squirrels, monkeys, and birds is a treat. The comfortable living room and stunning views of the volcano add to the overall experience. It's also conveniently close to El Zopilote for Pizza Night and hiking opportunities.

During our recent stay at El Pital, Chocolate Paradise, we were absolutely enchanted by the idyllic setting. Nestled amidst the lush jungle and overlooking the sparkling lake, it truly felt like paradise. The hut we stayed in had breathtaking views on both sides - one facing the lake and the other the jungle. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds and monkeys and falling asleep to the soothing sound of the waves. The tranquility and natural beauty of the surroundings were simply magical.

Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the dampness in the rooms and the limited food options, they did not diminish our overall experience. El Pital, Chocolate Paradise may not have all the amenities of a typical hotel, but it definitely offers a unique and tranquil atmosphere where you can relax and connect with nature.

The value for money at this place was great, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location by the lake was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

More breakfast choices would have made the experience even better.

The location is fantastic, right on the water with a breathtaking view of volcano Concepcion. The beds are comfortable and the staff is nice and helpful. The café serves delicious vegan food, with a menu that includes breakfast, smoothies, dinner, and desserts.

The toilets in the room were not fully functional and there were insects and lizards in the room.

I recently stayed at El Pital in Balgue for a week-long vacation. The hotel's location by the water is absolutely stunning, and I loved being able to relax on the terrace and even swim in the lake. The staff at El Pital were incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Angel who assisted us with scooter rental. The breakfast options were delicious, and I highly recommend trying their chocolate superpower smoothie. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is casual and laidback, making for a truly relaxing stay.

The highlight of my stay at El Pital was definitely the chocolate tour guided by Justin. It was an incredible experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting. The vibes at El Pital were amazing, with a beautiful view of the lake and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were nice and the rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. Being surrounded by nature and enjoying the best chocolate I've ever tasted made it a true oasis on the island of Ometepe.

the location was perfect, right by the water with stunning sunsets every evening. the staff were incredibly helpful, especially Angel who assisted us with scooter rental. the glass tree house was the most unique accommodation I've ever stayed in, with incredible views of the water. the on-site restaurant was delicious and the beach nearby was ideal for swimming. the experience was exceptional.
