We had an incredible experience at El Zopilote. The permaculture farm was fascinating and it was refreshing to enjoy meals made with ingredients directly from the farm. The range of activities offered, including yoga classes and ceremonies, added a unique touch to our stay. As vegetarians, we appreciated the extensive selection of vegetarian and vegan options. We can't wait to return!

my stay at the hostel in balgue was magical, but el zopilote took it to a whole new level. the trails, the atmosphere, the staff - everything was incredible. sleeping outside and being surrounded by nature was a dream. the farm and the sunset tower were the icing on the cake. i couldn't have asked for a better experience.

great eco-friendly stay, amazing views, friendly staff, and delicious vegetarian buffet dinner. exceeded expectations in terms of wifi speed and daily permaculture tour. highly recommend for a nature-focused and laidback experience on Ometepe Island.

We had a fantastic time at this eco-friendly retreat surrounded by lush nature. The comfortable rooms and open showers provided a unique experience. The homemade bread and fresh produce from their garden made breakfasts absolutely delicious. The free farm tour was informative and fun, giving us a glimpse into natural, chemical-free agriculture. The staff was friendly, relaxed, and always ready to help with anything we needed.

I had an amazing time at a unique jungle hostel. The sustainable concept really impressed me, with solar energy, compostable toilets, and limited wifi. The food was delicious and made from fresh, organic ingredients. I also enjoyed the yoga session, it was truly rejuvenating. The beautiful setting and relaxing environment were exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this hostel for social and nature-conscious backpackers like me.

During my Christmas stay, I was impressed with the unique setting of the hotel. Surrounded by nature, it truly felt like a back-to-nature experience. The permaculture farm was fascinating to explore, and the daily permaculture tour was both educational and enjoyable. Additionally, the public areas had super fast WiFi, which was a pleasant surprise, especially compared to other places I've stayed in Central America.

One downside of the hotel was the location. It required quite a bit of walking to reach, so I would recommend having a backpack instead of a suitcase.
