I had a wonderful stay at 40 Winks in Otorohanga. The accommodation was compact but had everything I needed and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast provided was just right to start my day, with homemade museli, honey, yogurt, and toast. The peaceful and quiet setting was a bonus, and waking up to the sound of birds was lovely. The check-in process was smooth, and the host, Fiona, was very welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The location by the river was perfect for enjoying peaceful surroundings and nature. It was also conveniently close to the Waitomo caves, making it easy to explore. The accommodation had all the necessary facilities, like a comfortable bed and a well-equipped kitchen. We especially enjoyed the homemade muesli provided for breakfast and the delicious Malawi coffee. Plus, there were plenty of activities to do nearby, such as the Sir Hilary walk and visiting the kiwi house and bird park.

The hosts were not easily accessible for payment and we had to leave the money in the room.

The room was quite small, with little space to store our belongings. the bed was too soft for our liking, and the metal cabin made a lot of noise when it rained.

The parking was a minor issue as it was a bit far from the room, but the staff gladly drove our car over the grass. However, this did not detract from our wonderful stay.
