We had a fantastic stay at Archway Motel & Chalets. Despite the cold winter day, the unit quickly warmed up and stayed cozy throughout our stay. The hosts were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The unit was clean, tidy and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. My son especially enjoyed the DVD library. We will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is really convenient, as it is close to some good restaurants in the town area. The hotel has a grassy area out front, which is a nice place to sit and relax. It is also handy to the town centre, making it easy to explore the area. Additionally, there are areas covered with trees, providing some shade and a peaceful atmosphere.

One downside mentioned by a guest is that there is no oven in the kitchen. Although they were provided with a toaster oven as a substitute, some guests may find this inconvenient if they wish to cook certain dishes.

Well-maintained property with clean,comfortable rooms. Spacious garden setting. Convenient location, within walking distance to town and lake. Friendly and welcoming staff. Enjoyed the amenities like air conditioning, smart TV, and outdoor furniture. The cedar hot tubs were a great added bonus. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay at Archway! Mark, the owner, was an absolute gem and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The rooms were perfect for our quick trip, with enough space for three people. The small bathroom had all the essentials and the heating kept us warm during our stay. The hot tub nestled among the trees was the highlight of our stay - it was clean, tidy, and just a short walk up the hill. The laundry facilities were also very well-kept, and there was plenty of storage space for our bikes/skis/snowboards. The location was superb, close to town and easy access to main scenic routes. Highly recommended!

We found this venue to be very comfortable during our stay. The location was just perfect - on a hill not too far from the center but also on the outskirts of the main business area. This meant we could easily walk to all the shops in the town. The service was great, with housekeeping and laundry facilities available. We loved the fact that ski equipment could be hired here, and the staff were always helpful with organising tours. The room had a lot of amenities, including ironing facilities, heating, air conditioning, and a patio with garden furniture. We were also impressed with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, which had plenty of towels and free toiletries.

Families should definitely consider staying at this hotel.

The stunning natural backdrop and the variety of activities in the area made my stay truly memorable. Plus, the chalet's veranda provided a lovely view.

Stayed during Christmas and the motel offered two complementary Christmas hats along with a small gift. the location was central and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. the motel had a playground for kids to enjoy during the stay.

The room was quite worn out and could use some renovations. the air conditioning did not work well during the hot summer nights making it very uncomfortable to sleep.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to Lake Wanaka and a quick drive to Roys Peak Track. We also appreciated the convenience of having parking right in front of our room.

There were a couple of minor downsides. The free WiFi had a limited transfer limit, which may not be enough for heavy internet usage.
