The private room was clean, had great amenities like a refrigerator and stove, and a fantastic shower. the location across from a beautiful waterfall added to the charm. the fast Wi-Fi and friendly staff were also a plus.

The eating options in the area were limited, with only one recommended eatery. the walk from the reception to the village center was challenging due to steep steps through the woods.

The value for money at Mountain House was excellent. The room was spacious and clean, and the separate house with shared bathrooms was surprisingly convenient. The location was perfect, close to great walks and with nice coffee shops across the road. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy and comfortable cottage we stayed in at Mountain House. The bed exceeded our expectations and the shared kitchen and lounge were well-equipped and inviting. Despite the chilly weather, the log burner kept us warm and cozy during the evening. The location, just a short walk from the main building and nearby amenities, was perfect for us. we had a great time and would definitely consider returning for a longer stay.

Additionally, it is conveniently located right in the center of hiking tracks, making it easy for outdoor enthusiasts to explore. Moreover, being near the Wobbly Kea pub allows guests to enjoy a lively atmosphere and socialize with other travelers. The shared facilities, such as the kitchen and bathrooms, are well-maintained and clean, providing a comfortable experience for guests. The spacious kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare meals, and the bathrooms are tidy and hygienic.

For a light sleeper like myself, the noise level can be a bit challenging.

The location was great, close to the visitor center and several cafes. the hiking trails nearby were also a plus. the view from the room was stunning and made waking up worth it.

The staff was not very helpful when it came to finding my way around. the signage was poor and there was no information regarding the stairs to the lounge area.
