We had a fantastic family beach stay with the kids at this holiday park. The beautiful location right on the beach was perfect for our little ones to play and explore. There were plenty of kid-friendly activities to keep them entertained, and we loved being close to the cafes and restaurants in the area. The trails and walks nearby provided great opportunities for family hikes, and the wifi was excellent for just $5 a day.

That the spa bath we had requested was not available, despite being advertised.

Located near the beach and shops which made it convenient for us to get around. the staff were friendly and accommodating. They provided us with fresh towels and extra pillows upon request. the park itself was clean and well-maintained. the playground was a hit with my kids.

The accommodation was quite noisy due to the thin walls. We could hear our neighbors snoring and talking late into the night.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was absolutely perfect, just a short stroll away from the beautiful beach. The staff was incredibly accommodating and polite, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our cabin was cozy and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a kitchen and dining area. We also appreciated the comfortable beds and the availability of amenities like heating and air conditioning. the hotel provided enhanced comfort and quality services, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

We highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Lovely ocean view cabin. Clean, tidy, and warm. Close proximity to beach. Great camp facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Well-appointed self-contained unit. Centrally located. Close to amenities. Great value.

Didn't dislike anything about the property.

We booked a standard family unit for 1 night here as it was within our budget during a 2 week tour of NZ. We arrived during a storm to find there was no power and were told that we couldn't have the unit we had booked as a glass table had blown over in the storm and there was danger of glass shards in the vicinity. We were offered a 'studio' unit instead, which we happily accepted thinking it was a replacement for what we had booked. Although the unit had apparently newer/better facilities , we were unable to appreciate them as there was no power, so we spent the evening sitting in the dark & cold- although the receptionist did provide a single candle. When we checked out the next morning we were charged $140- which was $5 more than the price listed in the Bowentown Holiday Park brochure we found in reception for a studio unit and $40 more than the unit we had booked. As we had been without power and were told we could not have our original booked unit , we felt very ripped off- we believed we were being offered an 'upgrade' as compensation, not as a means of reaping more money from us. This turned out to be the most expensive night's accommodation of our entire trip and we stayed in many far superior units for much less. We are sill wondering why we were charged an extra $5 above the listed price- perhaps for the candle???!!! BEWARE: Don't accept an upgrade if one is offered! It will be expensive!
