We had a fantastic stay at a beautiful location with mesmerizing views over the lake/estuary. The house was comfortable and well equipped, making it a great base for exploring the stunning Catlins. The peacefulness and abundance of bird-life added to the charm of our stay. The vegetable garden was an added bonus, and we loved having the open fire to cozy up to in the evenings. we had a wonderful experience at Catlins Lake Sanctuary and would highly recommend it.

Although the bathroom was a bit dated and the shower could have been better, it wasn't a major issue for a short stay. Additionally, the sheets left drying in front of the entrance for the entire duration of our visit obstructed the view and made it slightly inconvenient to enter or exit.
