We stayed at a cozy backpackers called Chalet and had a fantastic experience! The staff were accommodating, the shower had hot water with full pressure, and the beds were comfortable. The facilities, including the food options and internet chess, were great. We felt safe and respected by the young travellers. It was definitely a better choice than an expensive hotel with limited amenities. Thanks to the reasonable price of $26 per person per night, it was a friendly, safe, and comfortable stay for us.

The hotel had poor soundproofing due to its old and historic structure. This meant that I could hear everything happening in the hallways, from doors shutting to people talking loudly at all hours of the day and night.

The place had a fascinating mix of Victorian hospital vibes and spooky silence. The staff were friendly, garden sitting area outside was nice, and the wifi was decent. Dark and mysterious, just the way I like it.

The location was a bit off, but hey, at least it was good exercise climbing up that hill. Victorian style might not be for everyone, but it added to the spooky ambience.

I recently stayed at Chalet Backpackers for a few nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The dormitory room on the first floor had a large window that let in the morning sun and offered beautiful views. The staff were incredibly helpful and the kitchen was clean and well-organized. The bathrooms and showers were also in great condition. The cozy atmosphere, complete with a piano and pool table, made it feel like a home away from home. The decorations and fairy lights added a lovely touch, and I even made friends with the sociable rabbit in the garden. I genuinely enjoyed my stay and even extended it because of how much I loved it.

The bathroom on the top floor definitely needs some attention. The claw foot bath was slippery and wobbly, making it unsafe to use.

Lovely decorations on walls. Ceiling covered with fairylights. Sociable rabbit in garden. No alcohol and noise kept minimal after 10pm. Friendly and close community. Enjoyed stay so much, booked more nights. Sad to leave.

The small lamp provided in the room was also a nice touch and perfect for when I wanted to read at night. The view from the window was absolutely stunning, allowing me to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Additionally, having my own key gave me peace of mind and ensured the safety of my belongings.
