Had a blast exploring Lake Taupo and trying out extreme adventure activities. Plenty of fresh ideas for a quick break or a family vacation. Area attractions like the thermal park and hot springs were a real treat. Cons: Exploding kettle? Quite the adrenaline rush!

The hosts were really nice and accommodating, making our stay enjoyable. The room was comfortable and spacious, giving us plenty of room to spread out. The motel had a great location, within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops.

The beds were uncomfortable and gave me a sore back. The communal washing facilities were closed too early at 8pm, which was inconvenient.

I could walk everywhere as I likey-bit lazy at times. Decent bed setup, but sofa a bit old, like my jokes. I asked if they could clean under the cushions but no luck. Great kitchen, but spa MIA! Can't wait for my next visit, despite the crusty old blankets. So handy and warm, just like those spare blankets. Just bring earplugs, your party-animal neighbors will keep you up! And avoid the dusty couch—I vote for better seating options next time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a motel in Taupo. The location was fantastic, as it was close to the shopping centre and just a short walk to the town centre. The room was clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. The staff provided excellent service and were very friendly. The breakfast provided each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day. The view from the motel was breathtaking, overlooking the stunning lake. Additionally, the facilities provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay, from kitchen utensils to electric blankets. It truly felt like a home away from home.

There was one downside - the outdated kitchen and toilet taps. It was difficult to adjust the water temperature, as one flowed with cold water and the other with hot water.

Beautiful atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff, clean and spacious rooms, exceptional service.

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was much closer to town than I had anticipated, so I didn't need to drive much. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen in my room was a delightful surprise. I also appreciated the presence of a heat pump, as it made the warm night incredibly comfortable. This place definitely offers great value for money. I would happily choose to stay here again.

Spent Christmas at a hotel recently and had a great time! Loved the two complimentary cookies left by staff in my room, which was a nice touch. the hotel was situated in a prime location near lots of restaurants and shops, which made it easy to explore the area. I really enjoyed the convenient parking.

The wifi was a bit slow and made it tough to use my phone to check social media while I was there.

Well-equipped kitchen, separate bedroom, convenient location just a short walk from town. Clean rooms, great price, and friendly staff. Access to laundry facilities is helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay at this motel! The room was spacious, clean, and had a fresh look. The hosts were warm and friendly, making us feel welcomed. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the race village for IronMan. We also liked having two sleeping areas, with a single bed in the lounge, and the option to relax on couches instead of just dining chairs or the bed. The mountain views from the upstairs rooms were a nice bonus. The motel was conveniently located near shops and restaurants. it was a great value for the money spent.

We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely place we found at Chevron Motel. Despite the unappealing exterior, the interior was clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond, pre-heating the unit for my elderly parents. The location was also very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.
