We had a fantastic stay at Coastal Motor Lodge in Thames. We booked an ocean view chalet and were delighted with its unique design and efficient amenities. The bed was excellent and the grounds were well-kept. The owners were very friendly and helped us retrieve a forgotten item. The location was also great, just a short drive to the main street with restaurants. We loved staying somewhere with unique style and would definitely recommend it!

Crisp sheets, warm bedding, and fast wifi at this September stay. Super nice host with heaters on for a cozy arrival. Well-equipped kitchen and lovely view of the water and sunset. Didn't want to leave, will definitely return.

The location of the lodge is simply breathtaking. Situated right beside the ocean, it offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. The reception area is conveniently located, making it easy to access check-in and other services. The lodge itself is in such a peaceful place, ensuring a relaxing stay. The rooms are clean and tidy, providing a comfortable environment for guests. The bathrooms are well-maintained, although some insect screens would be helpful due to the bush backdrop. The friendly staff and their excellent service add to the overall positive experience. The spacious rooms and impressive decor, like the sloping stained wood ceiling, are definite advantages.

Although the lodge provides a peaceful and enjoyable stay, the vertical slatted blinds in some rooms are not fitted well at one end. However, this minor issue does not detract from the overall positive experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location by the coast was stunning, set in attractive grounds against a bush-clad hill and offering breathtaking views of the Thames estuary. We enjoyed being right at the water's edge, with decks overlooking the harbour that provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and promptly accommodated our request to change rooms, ensuring that our needs were met. The hotel amenities were top-notch, including the comfortable mattresses, crisp cotton sheets, and good quality pillows that made for a great night's sleep. The fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and other thoughtful touches like insect spray and a fan made our stay even more enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for more from this place.

I recently stayed at a fantastic hotel in Thames called Coastal Motor Lodge. The location was perfect for accessing nearby attractions and the view of the harbor was breathtaking. The hostess was incredibly friendly and ensured that our needs were met throughout our stay. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed that even accommodated my bad back. The kitchen was well-equipped and the range of television channels was the best I've seen in the North Island. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

Lovely chalet-style property across from the water. The top-level units near the water are especially delightful, offering airy and bright spaces. The chalets are well-decorated and come with a fully equipped kitchen, making self-catering a breeze. The property is immaculately clean and well-maintained. The manager is friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. The comfortable bed, quality linens and towels add to the overall comfort. Free WiFi is available, even though the property is not in town. It's an easy drive to Main Street and nearby restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.

Spent Christmas at a lodge by the coast, it was pretty good. Enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine and the chocolates. The views of the ocean were spectacular, and the location was close to all the nearby attractions we wanted to visit.

The decor of the room was quite outdated. The bed was uncomfortable, and we didn't like the pillows.

Cleanliness: The rooms at this hotel were spacious and very clean.
