the hotel offers various recreational opportunities. the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. the room had a beautiful aspect, directly over the lake, providing stunning views of the Remarkables mountain Range. the Manager, Paras, was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. I found the motel to be great value for money, especially for those transiting from Christchurch.

The location was super convenient, with stunning views and a COZY ROOM equipped with all essentials for a relaxing stay. the friendly host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even offered laundry assistance. the heated towel rack and efficient room heater were a delightful surprise, adding a touch of comfort to our trip. the small touches like a hot drink upon our early arrival made us feel like VIP guests. Off-street parking and the lovely outdoor dining area with beautiful views were jaw-dropping.

The modern bathroom was pristine, and the staff were welcoming, even to my dog. the convenient location offered easy access to town. the renovated room had a cozy bed and a refreshing shower.

Traffic noise: Some rooms might be affected by traffic noise.

Had fun on a Lake Wakatipu ride and enjoyed coffee at Frankston Marina. the staff helped me book adventurous activities. Colonial Village Motel is a perfect spot to chill. the safety features made me feel secure.

Lost rings in the "spacious" room, not exactly what I expected.

the room had just been upgraded and freshly painted, offering a nice view of the lake through the scaffolding. the staff member was pleasant and even offered to carry our luggage to the room. overall, a great experience with a friendly atmosphere.

The kids had a blast swimming in the pool and playing in the spacious room set up like a cozy family den. the proximity to the stunning Lakeview Park provided endless family adventures.

My wife says that having a designated play area for kids would have made our stay even more perfect.

Freshly renovated room was clean with a good kitchen space and nice bathroom. Despite hearing footsteps due to wooden floors, the beds were comfortable and staff were helpful. The amazing view helped mask the weird smell and traffic noise, making the short walk to town worth it.
