We had a very warm and cheery welcome at Dorset House Backpackers. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the location next to the park was perfect. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, overall I would highly recommend this hostel for a cosy and welcoming stay.

Comfy bed, nice TV, homely feel. 2-min walk to park. Free car parking. Well-equipped kitchen, spacious rooftop terrace. Good-sized rooms, clean and well-maintained. Friendly staff. Nice room with TV, great for unwinding. Balcony and kitchen equip. Homely atmosphere. Good kitchen and lounge area.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was great, right in the center of town and close to all the attractions like the park, museum, and shops. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff who made me feel so welcome. The room amenities were top-notch, including a flat-screen TV, ironing facilities, and even free toiletries. The hotel also had great leisure facilities like free Wi-Fi and a car park. The cleanliness was impressive, with the kitchen being cleaned first thing in the morning. it was a lovely and comfortable stay.

I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

my recent stay in christchurch was absolutely amazing - a relaxing spa holiday! i stayed at a great hostel near the museum, riverside, and park. the double private room was clean and cozy with a shared bathroom. the kitchen was well-equipped, and the atmosphere was friendly. the location was perfect for exploring the city, and the manager was so helpful. the showers were the best i've ever had! highly recommend and will definitely be back!

The location was great, as it was very close to the beautiful botanical gardens and a pleasant walk to the city center. The staff were really nice and the lounge area was comfortable with cozy sofas.

We had a wonderful stay at this place. It is located on a quiet street, directly across from a nice park, making it a peaceful and serene location. The bus stop is also conveniently located nearby, allowing us to easily explore all the attractions in the area. The staff here were exceptional, with two different receptionists who were friendly and accommodating. They even made sure our group could stay in one room, which was greatly appreciated. The room amenities were top-notch, with ironing facilities, free toiletries, and a washing machine available for use. The electric blankets on the comfortable beds were a lovely touch. We also enjoyed the flat-screen TV and the carpeted floors added a cozy atmosphere to the room. the service and room amenities provided here were excellent.

Friendly staff and clean, well-equipped rooms. Convenient location near key attractions and amenities.

Some issues with hot water, and smoking allowed near the kitchen led to smoke entering common areas. Limited seating in dining area and some uncomfortable furniture in the lounge.

my recent stay in christchurch was made even better at this charming backpackers. the cozy rooms were a welcome surprise, and the location near the botanical gardens was perfect for leisurely walks. the historical features of the old house added to its beauty, and the well-equipped kitchen and friendly manager made my stay even more enjoyable.

Recently stayed at this backpackers hostel for a few nights. The atmosphere was lovely with friendly staff who were helpful when needed, but didn't intrude on your quiet time. The dorm rooms were clean and comfortable, with no bunk beds. The facilities were excellent, including a spacious kitchen and a huge, comfortable TV room. The location was great, right next to beautiful Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens. Highly recommended for the value and experience.
