We had an amazing time staying at this hostel on Waiheke Island. the location was absolutely stunning, with a hidden path through the bush that led to the beach and bus stop, making it incredibly convenient to explore the area. the atmosphere at the hostel was perfect, with a friendly and relaxed vibe. We felt welcomed and at ease, even though there were many working visa travellers. And the tranquillity at night, where you could see the stars, was simply superb. the staff were also very friendly and the facilities were great, including a comfortable bed. They even provided us with excellent walking route suggestions on the island, with accurate times.

The bedroom and facilities were clean and well-maintained. Convenient location near bus stop and beautiful walk to the ferry with spectacular views. Staff were friendly and created a great homely vibe. Enjoyed the outdoor area with pool and spa.

My partner and I recently stayed at Hekerua Lodge Backpackers on Waiheke Island for a weekend getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The location was perfect, just a short 10-15 minute walk to the city centre, making it really convenient to explore. The facilities were always kept clean and we appreciated the cozy warmth during the winter. The lodge had a beautiful bush setting and the outdoor areas were perfect for meeting new people and unwinding after a day of adventure. The fireplace was a nice touch on cooler evenings, and we were pleasantly surprised by the spa pool. Highly recommended!
