We absolutely loved the stunning hilltop location with panoramic views of the lake and mountains. the experience of hand feeding deer and sheep was unique and memorable. the breakfast provided was delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful 2-night stay at Hilltop. Michelle's breakfast was exceptional, and Peter brewed amazing coffee. the spacious rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable. the farm tour with the friendly animals was a highlight, and the beautiful views of both the fields and Lake Taupo were stunning. the hosts, Peter and Michelle, were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We can't wait to return in the future.

Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

hilltop whakaipo estate provided a top-notch experience. the room was spacious, the breakfast incredible, and the hosts, including michelle, were warm and accommodating. the views of the mountains and lake were stunning, and the small touches like the steam-free shower and towel rack were appreciated. feeding the deer and playing with the owner's dogs added extra charm to this lovely stay.

During our recent stay at Hilltop Whakaipo Estate, we were blown away by the stunning views of the lake. It felt like a home away from home, with a clean and tidy room and a shower that felt like a massage. The delicious kiwi breakfast added to the overall experience. We loved meeting Molly, their pet deer, and cuddling with their Labrador dog, Bear. The highlight was being able to feed the sheep and other deer on the farm – an excitement we'll never forget. We can't wait to return for our next holiday season and will definitely recommend this amazing place to our family and friends. a truly unforgettable stay.

Guests are fortunate to have the opportunity to take a morning tour around the farm, which adds to the overall experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with modern bathrooms and fantastic showers. The hosts provide excellent service, offering a delicious homemade breakfast. Additionally, guests can enjoy facilities like a pool table and dart board.

The guests in the neighboring room were not considerate of others and had a loud late-night shower and blow-drying session, which was disruptive and inconsiderate.

The breakfast was tasty and home-cooked. the room had a great view of the lake and mountains. the hosts were friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed feeding the deer on the property.

The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. the location was a bit remote and difficult to find, especially at night.

the luxurious room had exclusive amenities, including fluffy towels, slippers, cosy bedding and an efficient heater. We enjoyed the peaceful and quiet environment, ensuring a good night's rest. the breakfast was exceptional, and the hosts had a friendly and relaxed manner, making us feel warmly welcomed. the location, although secluded, provided a stunning view of the area, and the chance to feed some of the Red deer was a thrill. the hotel's overall service was remarkable.

Although the location provided a beautiful view, it is a 15-minute drive from restaurants and shops. the road to the hotel is a bit hard to spot in bad weather and may be difficult to navigate, especially at night.
