I recently stayed at the Kaniere Hotel for a weekend getaway. The location was fantastic, with plenty of activities nearby and the beautiful Lake Kaniere just a short distance away. The hotel had a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The rooms were cozy, neat, and impeccably clean. I especially appreciated the pet-friendly amenities, including a nearby park and welcoming hosts for my furry friends. it was an exceptional accommodation experience.

The hotel is conveniently located near popular attractions such as the West Coast glaciers and Punakaiki. Guests can enjoy easy access to beautiful Lake Kaniere. The shared kitchen allows guests to prepare their own meals, and the private cabins for toilets and showers ensure privacy and comfort. The hotel offers value for money with affordable prices.

Some areas of the hotel could benefit from an update.

The meals at the restaurant were super delicious and the clean towels provided everyday were a pleasant surprise. The communal kitchen and lounge/TV area were amazing for socializing and relaxing. The modernized and clean bathrooms were jaw-dropping. The hotel's proximity to the bike track was mind-blowing, making it convenient for outdoor enthusiasts. it was an excellent value for the price, and I would definitely choose to stay there again, but maybe not in that particular room.

We had a delightful stay at Kaniere. The proprietor was incredibly helpful, the beds were comfy, and the newly installed showers were a treat. The location was ideal, en-route to the gorge, and parking was no issue. The relaxed atmosphere added to the charm, and we appreciated the pet-friendly policy. Extra space was provided at no additional cost for our group of five. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed watching native birds while dining outside. a fantastic experience with unlimited free wifi.

We loved the bar next to the hotel, perfect for a drink. The bunk bed room was clean and comfortable. Shared bathrooms were well-maintained. Location was great for visiting Hokitika Gorge. Super fast WIFI for video streaming.

We had an incredible stay at a charming hotel with lots of character. The shared showers and toilets were modernized and the shared kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the friendly bar patronized by locals. The beds were great and the rooms clean. The wifi was free and actually worked. The bathrooms were new and very clean. I highly recommend this hotel for its value for money and homely feel.

I had a great stay at this hotel near the West Coast. the location was perfect for exploring the glaciers and Punakaiki. the private cabins with shared toilets and showers were clean and well-maintained. I appreciated the option of dining at the bar/restaurant or using the shared kitchen to prepare my own meals. the staff was friendly and welcoming, and they even allowed my pet dog to stay with us. the beds were comfortable, and the free wifi actually worked. it was a great value for money.
