We recently stayed at a motel in Whangarei for one night and were pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality we received. The friendly manager and his wife invited us to use the barbeque and pool area, which was well-maintained, clean, and perfect for our family. The motel itself had been tastefully redecorated, offering spacious units with full kitchen facilities. we had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend this motel for its nice ambiance, amenities, and reasonable prices.

The service was exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was lovely, clean, and had all the amenities we needed, including ironing facilities and a sitting area. The free Wi-Fi was a bonus and allowed us to stay connected during our stay. The location of this motel is very convenient, with several amenities within walking distance, such as a supermarket and a liquor store. The room I stayed in was clean and welcoming, and had all the necessary equipment like a microwave and kettle. The assistant at the front desk was great and provided fresh milk for the room.

The owner's attitude could have been better, as they made unnecessary faces and comments when checking the room during checkout.

What a great start to the New Year! the warm welcome and impeccable cleanliness of the room set the tone for a fantastic stay. We particularly enjoyed the small pool for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring the local area. the location is perfect for visiting the nearby hospital and there are plenty of characterful restaurants within walking distance. the complementary WiFi and well-defined parking spaces were also a bonus.

The sporadic bus schedule into the city, but this was easily remedied by having a car. Unfortunately, some locals used the motel's forecourt as a shortcut, but this was out of the owner's control.

We had a great stay at a motel in a convenient location. the room was clean and spacious, equipped with a kitchenette and even a microwave. the beds were comfortable, and there was extra linen available if needed. We appreciated the fan provided, although air-conditioning would have been a bonus. the dedicated parking in front of our room was a plus. the motel management were friendly and accommodating, providing us with daily fresh towels, tea, and coffee. Our children enjoyed the pool, and we were just a walk away from restaurants and a petrol station. we had a wonderful experience at Kensington Motel.
