We were delighted with the convenient location of the backpackers. The beautiful surroundings, with fields of peacefully grazing livestock, create a peaceful atmosphere. The separate kitchen area was a plus, allowing us to prepare our meals. The friendly service provided by the owners added a personal touch to our stay. Additionally, the well-kept rooms provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The shared bathroom was a minor inconvenience.

This hotel is a hidden gem nestled in beautiful gardens, offering a peaceful retreat in a quiet area just outside the city. The attention to detail is impressive, with rooms equipped with everything you need, including a big TV with Sky, and an excellent bed for a restful night's sleep. The well-supplied kitchen is a bonus, giving you the opportunity to prepare your own meals if desired. Breakfast is also included, ensuring a great start to the day.

The only minor hiccup was the lack of space to put toiletries in the rooms.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the delightful co-host, Molly, and felt immediately at ease. the rooms were beautifully decorated with a luxurious feel, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. the shared bathroom was clean and bright, and the common lounge was simply amazing. We enjoyed watching the big flat screen TV with Sky and making use of the free wifi. the continental breakfast offered a great selection, and the hosts were always friendly and accommodating. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like 😊

We enjoyed the serene environment and the spacious property. the breakfast was superb and filled us up for most of the day. the rooms were well-furnished and very comfortable.

We went there during Easter, and the hotel was very understaffed, which led to a delay in our check-in. the upkeep of the property was not up to par, with the gardens overgrown and some of the furniture feeling outdated.

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely bed and breakfast. the dedicated guest area was spacious and had everything we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen for breakfast. the hosts were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. the location was ideal for day trips to nearby attractions like Rotorua and Waitomo Caves. We loved the beautiful gardens and peaceful surroundings. the overall experience was excellent and we would definitely recommend staying here.
