The view from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the serene lake. We were within walking distance to charming cafes, restaurants, and popular attractions like the Church of the Good Shepherd and Dark Sky Project. The bed in our room was incredibly comfortable, making it difficult to leave in the morning. Despite a few minor drawbacks, overall I highly recommend this hotel for its prime location and cozy accommodations.

The location of this motel is excellent, with attractions such as the Church of Good Shepherd and restaurants and shops close by. You can easily explore the area without needing to travel far. Additionally, if you are willing to pay extra for a lake view, make sure to request an upper floor for a better experience.

The noise level in the motel can be quite high, with guests mentioning that they could hear footsteps and doors opening from neighboring units.

We got great value for our money with a spectacular view of the lake from our room at Village Motel. The location was perfect, close to restaurants, shops, and the famous Good Shepherd church. The receptionist, Lyn, went above and beyond to help us organize a helicopter landing on the snow, despite being on crutches due to a broken leg.

The breakfast menu could have had more variety.

This hotel is in an excellent location, right by Lake Tekapo with restaurants and all amenities in the village nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with two double beds on the ground floor, or a sofa bed on the first. The staff are friendly and the prices are great value for money. Selected detail: The hotel is centrally located in the village, with everything you need right at your door.

Enjoyed my stay at this motel near Lake Tekapo. Two complimentary drinks were offered upon arrival. Location was perfect for visiting nearby attractions. Stunning views of the mountains.

Shower was impractical as water flowed onto the floor. Parking was an issue when we arrived back one evening.
