Beautiful location, exceptional support, great view, helpful owners, peaceful ambiance, attractive park-like setting.

Absolutely nothing.

Spent an amazing Christmas at this lovely hotel with stunning views and a friendly staff who made our stay enjoyable. the unit was clean, well-presented, and had everything we needed. the balcony provided a fabulous view of the harbor that we really enjoyed. Plus, we had the pleasure of having Poppy the resident cat around, which added to the charm of the hotel.

That there was only one inside chair in the unit, so one of us had to sit on the bed to read or watch TV. in one of the units, there was no screen or blind over the window in the bathroom, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable, wondering if someone might pass by.

our cruise made a stop in akaroa, and we decided to stay at this lovely lodge. the communal kitchen and lounge were perfect for relaxing and cooking. the views of the harbor were absolutely stunning and we even had a resident cat to keep us company. exceeded our expectations!

No hot water in the kitchen area.

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely place up on the hill, overlooking the harbor and bay. Mt Vernon provided spotless accommodation with a well-kept garden. the communal kitchen was a highlight, equipped with everything we needed and even featuring a large open fireplace and gas BBQ grills. the location was idyllic, surrounded by beautiful birdsong and offering a peaceful and peaceful setting. Our host was extremely helpful, especially during emergency road closures due to adverse weather. We enjoyed the amazing views, good showers, and proximity to the purple peak track for hikes. a super comfy and enjoyable experience!

Everything was 💯 fantastic!

As a tourist, I absolutely loved staying at this amazing lodge. The location was perfect for me, as it was at the base of the trails, making it ideal for hiking. The grounds were stunning, and I couldn't get enough of the beautiful views of the natural surroundings. The cabin itself was spacious and spotless, with large rooms, a balcony, and a well-equipped kitchen. I also appreciated the BBQ facilities, which allowed me to enjoy some delicious meals outdoors. The owners were lovely people who clearly took a lot of pride in the lodge. it was the best spot for my stay.

Felt like a home away from home, with nothing to complain about.

We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful location, perched high above the bay with stunning views and surrounded by nature. the units were delightful, offering a comfortable sleep for four. the kitchen and lounge area were great, complete with a barbecue and decks for al fresco eating. Everything was immaculate and clean, with high-quality finishes and a funky vintage touch. the host, David, ran a professional outfit, and the bed was the comfiest we've slept in.

We had an amazing stay at Mt Vernon Lodge! We spent the evening in the common lounge and kitchen, which was just for us during the low season. The place is clean, comfortable, and well-decorated, with a cozy fireplace. The kitchen is big and well-equipped, and you can see the bay from there. The cabin was spacious and spotless, with stunning grounds, a large balcony, and a great BBQ area. The location is perfect, peaceful, and surrounded by birdsong. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel!
