We had a fantastic stay at this hidden gem with super friendly hosts, Rob and Philippa. The location was perfect for touring Doubtful Sound and Fjordland, and the lakeside walks were breathtaking. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a clean and well-equipped bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, with various options to choose from. The view from the backyard was beautiful, and we enjoyed exploring the orchard area.

Limited facilities for entertainment.

Lovely lakeside location with stunning, ever-changing views. Authentic feel to the old house, though some areas are a bit dark. Friendly hosts and tasty breakfast. Convenient for lakeside dining and a short walk to Doubtful Sound boat tours.

Great location with amazing views. Adequate breakfast and friendly staff who helped me plan my activities according to my wishes.

Very overpriced for what it offered. The room was cold, the bathroom outdated with low flow shower and cheap toiletries.

I had the time of my life at this serene and idyllic retreat. The ancient house provided comfortable rooms with breathtaking views of the alpine landscape and Lake Manapouri. Robert, the owner, gave us invaluable advice on local activities and even arranged a memorable flight over Dusky and Doubtful Sounds. The peaceful setting, lovely gardens, and nearby trails made our stay truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this unique and inviting accommodation.
