The friendly staff and communal dining room create a warm and inviting atmosphere. You can even make friends with Gracie, the resident parrot. Despite being next to the railway, the hotel offers a comfortable stay with cozy rooms and interesting views.

Although the owner tries his best, staffing issues sometimes lead to a lack of personalized service.

Beautiful old hotel, well run, lots of hidden treasures. Clutter of junk hides treasures. Coach House eclectic with Victorian slant. Separate room for guests. Close to Arthurs Pass, spectacular.
