Lovely private chalet with garden view. Convenient location for exploring Otago peninsula. Excellent self-catering facilities, Fairtrade soap, tea, and coffee provided.A variety of birds at the bird feeder outside. Friendly staff, quiet rooms. Good for bird watching and walking. Nearby café serves excellent breakfast. Amazing views, peaceful location midway to albatross/penguin sanctuaries. Steep driveway but parking in front of the apartment. Nice cottages with space and well-appointed decor. Would stay again and recommend.

had a fantastic romantic weekend, even better than my previous stay in Dunedin. Portobello Boutique Motel exceeded expectations with its lovely decorations, fully equipped kitchen, and convenient location near grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed stunning views and even spotted penguins and seals on nearby beaches. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay at a beautiful and peaceful place that exceeded our expectations. the cottage at Portobello Boutique Motel was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. It felt like a real haven, with a lovely terrace where we could relax and listen to the birds. the location was also perfect, as we were only 15 minutes away from the Royal Albatross Centre and the little blue penguins.

Stayed in a beautifully decorated Studio King Cottage which was spotlessly clean and quiet. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The kitchenette was well equipped, even had a teapot! Enjoyed relaxing in the stylish lounge chairs with stunning harbour views. Great location for exploring Otago Peninsula’s attractions. Limited food options but the pub at the end of the driveway was convenient. I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

I had a truly amazing time here! The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the beautiful sights of the Ortega Peninsula. I loved being able to visit the Albatross and Penguins, as well as Larnarch Castle, which were all just a short distance away. The hotel itself was luxurious and provided enhanced comfort. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with spotlessly clean bathrooms. The stunning views from my studio apartment were breathtaking, and the lovely garden in the cottage added to the overall charm of this place. I was also pleasantly surprised by the delicious food at the nearby café and restaurant. The staff here went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, making me feel welcome and taken care of.

I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

This place is a nice spot to explore the Otago Peninsula. It is conveniently located near the restaurant 1908 and offers easy access to great tourist attractions. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and come with small balconies with a lovely view of the bay. The owners are friendly and helpful, providing useful information about hiking and local attractions. The blankets on the bed are ideal for a cozy night's sleep.

The hotel is not very close to the center of the city.

We had a wonderful stay at a motel on Otago Peninsula. the motel provided us with an amazing view of the surrounding area, which made our trip even better. the location of this motel was perfect as we were able to visit both the penguin and albatross sanctuaries easily. We found it very convenient to park directly in front of our apartment, too.

That the beds were too narrow, even for a single person. This made it a bit difficult to sleep comfortably at night.
