We got great value for our money at Pukenui Lodge. The room was a bit small, but comfortable, and we loved having a private bathroom. The location was perfect, close to National Park, and the staff treated us like family.

The morning meal could have been better with more variety.

the business partner who managed the place was incredibly friendly and accommodating. the lounge area was fantastic with a cozy fireplace and even a table tennis table for entertainment. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen looked well-equipped. Our room was surprisingly luxurious and kept us warm throughout our stay. the beds were exceptionally comfortable, unlike the thin mattresses you often find in typical backpacker accommodations. I'm already planning my return visit!

We stayed at Pukenui Lodge and had a great experience. the family room was warm, clean, and affordable. the friendly host made our stay enjoyable. the beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. the shared kitchen was easy to use and had everything we needed. the location was excellent - walking distance from the train/bus station, close to the ski field, and convenient for exploring Whakapapa Village and Sky Waka. the facilities were well-maintained and the central heating was a plus. Pukenui Lodge provided great value for money for our large family group with kids and teens.

I had a great time at a cozy lodge located in a convenient spot near the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, helping me book a shuttle for the hike. The location was perfect, right next to Schnapps Bar and a petrol station. I highly recommend this lodge.

I also loved having a TV in my room with Netflix and the reliable wifi. The lodge had a cozy shared lounge with a fireplace and even a table tennis area.

We will definitely choose Pukenui Lodge again for our next trip to Whakapapa.

The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any questions or concerns. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and activities. Plus, the hotel offered free Wi-Fi, which was handy for staying connected during our stay.

The room we stayed in was tiny, with just enough space for the bed and no extra room to move around. The lack of a light by the bed was also inconvenient, making it difficult to read or do anything in bed at night.

Despite being close to the main road, no road noise, great for a peaceful night's sleep. Convenient location for skiing, restaurants, and walks in the area. Very warm and comfy beds, towels provided. Amazing view, spacious rooms with TV. Great big kitchen and fireplace.

Felt so relaxed, no reason to complain.
