I recently stayed at a well-run backpackers in a great location in Taupo. The accommodation choices were plentiful, with different dorm configurations and options for private or shared bathrooms. The shared areas, including the kitchen and dining/lounge area, were spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe was relaxed. I especially appreciated the availability of free filtered coffee or tea. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay at Rainbow Lodge. The private room we booked was small but it had everything we needed. The hostel was always clean and tidy, including the kitchen and bathrooms. The free wifi was fast and reliable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We loved that we could rent bikes for a great price and explore the beautiful surroundings. we had a wonderful experience at Rainbow Lodge and would highly recommend it.

I had a great stay at this hostel, it felt like being in a cozy bungalow. The rooms were nice and the hostel had a relaxing common area for socializing. The staff was friendly and the location was good, with a supermarket nearby and beautiful nature to explore, like the river and natural thermal pool. The free transport from the center and the sauna were added bonuses. I even met some lovely friends and went on a hike together. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at a charming hostel that exceeded my expectations. The location was ideal, with easy access to the main town and popular hot pools. The staff were incredibly friendly and informative, and the double room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The communal kitchen was well-equipped and the communal seating area was a great place to socialize with other guests. The added bonus of a sauna was a wonderful way to relax after a long day of exploring.

I did notice that the shared bathroom area could have been cleaner, especially in regards to the wet floor and lack of towel provision.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff at this place and they provided us with helpful information about the local area. The location is great and we were able to park near our room, which was very convenient. The room itself was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed, like an ironing facility and an electric kettle. We also enjoyed the flat-screen TV and the carpeted floor in our room. The staff here were outstanding, always friendly and helpful.

I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

We really enjoyed our romantic escape! The complementary breakfast and free parking were nice perks. The location was great with easy access to local attractions. One of the best aspects of our stay was the cozy atmosphere of the common areas.

Some of the other guests were quite noisy late into the night and the walls were quite thin. Our room was also a bit cramped and could have used some more storage space.

I recently stayed at Rainbow Lodge Backpackers for a few days while backpacking. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the well-equipped kitchen made cooking meals easy. The showers were fantastic and the overall comfort of the hostel was top-notch. I also loved the great atmosphere and the little touch of having a variety of spices available in the kitchen, perfect for budget travelers like myself. The shuttle to the bus stop was a lifesaver for our heavy bags.
