The free coffee and hammock were nice additions to make up for the lack of amenities. the location was great as it was within walking distance to everything we needed. It was also situated on a quiet street which was a peaceful escape from the noise of the city. the bed was comfortable enough for a few nights and the staff were friendly and helpful when we needed advice on activities in the area.

The walls were thin, so we could hear people loudly walking up and down the hallway and the sound of the communal bathroom being used. the sink in our private bathroom was so small that it was difficult not to spill water all over the floor.

I recently had the most amazing stay at Riverstone Lodge in Turangi. I was in town to hike the Tongariro Crossing and stayed at the lodge for two nights. The facilities were top-notch, with a beautiful lounge and dining area, well-stocked kitchen, and spacious and clean rooms. The staff, especially Sandra and Jo, were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They even upgraded my room for the second night. The location was perfect, with easy access to the supermarket and shuttle bus for the hike. it was the best backpackers I've ever stayed in. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience at this cozy lodge. As soon as I arrived, Logan, the owner, made me feel at home and even offered me a delicious cup of real coffee. the staff, including Jo and her daughter, were absolutely wonderful and made my stay enjoyable. After a refreshing walk along the Tongariro River, I returned to a warm fire and a comfortable lazy boy. the shared kitchen was perfect for cooking, with a variety of base ingredients and high-quality equipment. I appreciated the fast and free wifi, as well as the electric blanket on the comfortable bed. this place was awesome for the price!
