Our group of friends stayed at a hotel with a stunning location right by the lake and across from the beach. We were impressed with the clean and comfortable rooms, with amenities like a big spa bath and kitchen facilities. The service was great, with friendly and helpful hosts who even took care of our laundry. We enjoyed the easy flat walk into town to explore shops and restaurants along the lakefront.

The decor could use some sprucing up to make the rooms feel more inviting.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely fantastic, right across the road from the beautiful lake. The views from my room were excellent, and I even got to enjoy the company of the friendly and cuddly Ruby, the motel cat. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a spacious and clean apartment that had modern décor. The staff were friendly and pleasant, always ready to assist. The hotel's commitment to being eco-friendly was commendable as well.

We stayed at Sails On The Lake for the Taupo ironman and were thrilled with the convenient location. The hotel was within walking distance to the swim start and provided stunning views of the lake and mountains. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped, including a kitchenette with everything we needed. The staff were friendly, and we even got to pet their cute little dog. The free laundry facilities and daily housekeeping were a bonus. great value for money and a wonderful stay.

Great weekend getaway! Enjoyed the stunning views of the lake which were complemented by the cozy amenities. Appreciated the crisp, white linen and electric blankets that helped us stay comfy on cooler nights. the washing machine and tumble dryer were a useful addition for us as we had been traveling for a while. the location made it easy to explore the town and its attractions.

The advertised hotel classification is not accurate as this property is more of a motel. the dated decor and lack of soft lighting made the place feel rather bland.

One thing that could be improved is the inconsistent water temperature in the shower. However, it did not detract from our amazing experience.

This cozy accommodation is perfectly situated right on the lakeside, offering breathtaking views of the lake and snow-capped mountains. The friendly staff provide excellent service, and there is a communal laundry with free access to a washing machine and dryer. The location is convenient, being just a short distance from the town center.
