I had the pleasure of staying in a comfortable and spacious 4-bed dorm at a fantastic location by the beautiful waterfront. The room was clean, and the ensuite bathroom had a refreshing shower. The friendly staff made sure I felt welcome and provided helpful recommendations. The lodge's extensive movie library came in handy on rainy days, and being close to the town center and backpacker buses made exploring convenient.

Some guests were noisy at night, disrupting the peaceful atmosphere occasionally.

During my recent stay at a hostel in Paihia, I had the pleasure of experiencing the welcoming and friendly atmosphere at Saltwater Lodge. The location was superb, just a short walk from the ferry terminal and tour agents. The spacious room I stayed in offered plenty of comfort and amenities, including a satellite TV and a fridge. The combination of indoor and outdoor spaces made the hostel enjoyable in all types of weather. I especially appreciated the ensuite bathrooms and the secure storage closets in every room. The beds were comfortable and the bunks were sturdy, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hostel's sustainable ethic was evident throughout, with real drinking glasses and a commitment to reducing plastic waste. Additionally, the large and well-appointed kitchen and lounge areas were perfect for socializing with fellow travelers. my stay at Saltwater Lodge was delightful, and I would highly recommend it to others.

the noise from the nearby nightclub was unbearable, causing us to have sleepless nights for two consecutive nights. Despite our complaints, the manager was rude and unhelpful.

Christmas at this backpackers was absolutely amazing! the atmosphere was buzzing with a great crowd of people from all over the place. I really liked the spacious room I stayed in, and the en-suite bathroom was a great feature which made it feel like a hotel room. the fact that the small supermarket was so close was super convenient to grab a few snacks. I loved the location of this place, so close to the main town and wharf area.

The only negative thing I disliked was that the kitchen was quite crowded during peak times. However, despite that, the kitchen was clean and well-maintained.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. the service was impeccable and the amenities luxurious. the room was well-appointed with exclusive features, such as a private hot tub and stunning ocean views. the staff was always available to attend to my every need, providing exceptional personalized attention.

The only minor issue that I encountered was the limited selection in the on-site restaurant. the nearby area provided an abundance of dining options and the hotel staff were happy to provide recommendations and make reservations for me.
