Stunning mountain views in Franz Josef! 🏔️

Man, the mountain views here are just breathtaking! Had a lekker meal at the restaurant too, with top-notch service from the staff. The room was super comfy and clean, felt right at home with the little touches like good bathroom products.

Only downside was the noise from the bar across the road, but wasn't a major thing for us.

Our stay was primarily to visit the stunning glacier nearby, and we truly enjoyed the breathtaking views right from our room. The breakfast spread was decent although it could get a bit crowded due to larger tour groups. Additionally, we found the design of the hotel interesting and in harmony with nature, making it a great base for our adventures. Rooms were clean, and we appreciated the ample parking available for guests.

Them folks at check-in were sweeter than a peach! I felt right at home in our cozy room, especially with that heater crankin’ and a view of the mountains from our balcony. The shower was a real gem too. Had a lovely evening stroll through town, just breathin’ in that fresh mountain air. Can't wait to come back again!

Unfortunately, we faced some inconveniences. The curtains in our room didn’t block out light well, leaving us exposed to a long night of brightness. Also, despite the nice setup, we encountered some disturbing noise, particularly from a tour bus parking bay nearby, which affected our sleep. There was a noticeable absence of air conditioning, contributing to the discomfort. Additionally, the rate felt too steep for what we got, given the overall value when compared to other places.

Recommend it for a romantic getaway

We had a very clean and large suite with two comfy beds and a balcony that allowed us to gaze at the stunning mountain view while sipping coffee in the morning. The hot tub was a real highlight, too,, just a bit warm at 40 degrees, so we couldn't stay in long but it was romantic and relaxing.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but given the experience, I’d say it was still reasonable.

Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed exploring the glaciers and even went paddling down a West Coast river. The buffet breakfast was huge and totally hit the spot. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the laundry facilities were a lifesaver after days on the road. Don't miss the stunning views from the balcony in your room!

We had a few hiccups. we found the hotel rooms to be more like an upgraded motel, not quite the luxury we were expecting for the price. A bit of renovation wouldn't hurt.
