I recently stayed at a quaint little hostel in a great location. The bathrooms were clean and felt more like a normal bathroom than a shared/hostel bathroom. It even had a spa/jacuzzi function in the bathtub! The hostel itself was cozy and felt like coming home for the weekend. The kitchen facilities were also top-notch. The hostel is right in the town center, next to a petrol station and across the road from a pub and supermarket. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place!

There were a couple of drawbacks during my stay. the 4pm check-in time was a bit inconvenient, although they made an exception for me.

I had an amazing surprise at this backpacker-style guest house. Lazy Cow Accommodation was more than just a place to sleep - it felt like a cozy home. the owners were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome. the Wi-Fi was super fast, and the facilities were top-notch, including a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room. I loved starting my day with a free breakfast and a cup of tea or coffee in the kitchen. the little restaurant on-site served the best food, and the atmosphere in the garden area was delightful. Plus, there were lovely artistic touches like a wall full of cow portraits. the staff went above and beyond with their recommendations.

The location of the accommodation was convenient for exploring the surrounding area, such as Murchison and Nelson Lakes. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. The on-site restaurant provided delicious food, especially the pizza. The common area had a fireplace, creating a cozy atmosphere for guests. the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The cleanliness of the kitchen and bathrooms was inconsistent, with occasions where they were not properly cleaned or replenished with supplies.

We loved the friendly and helpful staff who made check-in and late return access a breeze. The comfortable bed kept us warm, although a thermostat on the heater would be a good addition. The great location and cosy atmosphere allowed us to meet other trampers during breakfast. The kitchen facilities were top-notch, and the outdoor area was inviting for a pizza order from the attached restaurant/pizzeria. The flexibility with late check-in time was appreciated, and we were delighted to make friends with the friendly pet cat. We also enjoyed the nearby Zen's Kitchen for excellent lunch and coffee.

The Lazy Cow Accommodation was a comfortable and cozy place to stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a better sleep than any other hotel I've stayed at. The bathrooms were modern and clean, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. The staff were lovely and welcoming, making us feel at home during our time there. The option to use their pizza restaurant next door for a meal or drink was convenient and delicious. Access to an open fire was a bonus, creating a cozy atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
