The location of the hotel is great as it is close to Valentine's restaurants and a shopping centre. Additionally, there is a neat little market out on the lawn. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. The hot showers are powerful and refreshing, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Some guests mentioned that there can be road noise which might disturb light sleepers.

This hotel was incredible value for money, especially considering the prices of other hotels in the area. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the folded toilet paper rolls to the complimentary drinks vouchers at the bar. The location was perfect, very close to the city centre and all amenities.

I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the bathroom and how all the beds were in one room, which made it easier for my kids to adjust to a new sleeping environment. The hotel also conveniently placed us near the communal kitchen, which was great for clean-ups, although the microwave wasn't functioning properly. The outside porch overlooking the field was a nice touch until I got stung by a bee.

The water pressure in the shower was quite low, and I think they could benefit from upgrading the shower heads. Additionally, the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom, particularly the floor and bench, was a drawback.

Our Easter stay at this budget hotel was surprisingly great! We loved the easy access and plenty of parking spots available. the spacious room was a huge plus, and the in-room coffee offered a nice touch. the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location was ideal for our holiday plans.

The shared kitchen facilities were not very well maintained, which was a bit disappointing. the room we stayed in had a strong smell of cigarettes that was not very pleasant.

Great accommodation, spotlessly clean, quiet, light room with amenities. Friendly staff, good parking, away from city center.

My recent stay at Redwood Hotel was fantastic! I was visiting Christchurch for a few days and this hotel was perfect for my needs. The location was great, allowing me to easily access all the attractions I wanted to visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and tidy, making me feel comfortable throughout my entire visit. Additionally, I loved the spacious and well-appointed bathroom and living/bedroom. The hotel's retro charm, with its practical design, added to the overall experience. The on-site bar was a great bonus, with a helpful barmaid and even a bottle-store if needed. Fast food places and a dairy were conveniently nearby, providing everything I needed. Lastly, the lovely established trees and gardens surrounding the hotel added a peaceful touch to the atmosphere.

I had a wonderful stay at Redwood Hotel and I can confidently recommend this hotel.

Comfortable bed, good water, ample heating, thoughtful vouchers, generous complimentary drinks, welcoming staff. Powerful shower. Helpful staff for late check-in. Clean rooms with towels, toiletries, kettle, coffee, and milk. Great value for money. Comfortable room, but noise from other guests was a disturbance. Adequate bathroom facilities. Room would benefit from a mixer tap and small table. a great unit.
