We were amazed by the stunning location of this place, right on the lake. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made us feel immediately at home. The room we were upgraded to was spacious and comfortable, with easy access to the pool and outdoor area. We also loved the breathtaking view of Lake Taupo from our room. Our daughter had a blast swimming in the thermal pool and taking advantage of the free bike rentals. We can't wait to return!

I had a fantastic family getaway at the Reef Resort. We booked three rooms for our three families, and they were conveniently located close to each other. The pool, spa, and BBQ facilities were amazing, especially for our four children. We loved being able to walk out of the gate and be right on the lakefront and boardwalk. We also enjoyed riding bikes every day, the perfect way to explore the area. The friendly and helpful staff made our holiday even better. We will definitely be returning!

As young people, we loved the awesome views from the rooms and the luxurious heated swimming pool and hot tub. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making our stay even better. The central location also made it convenient for us to explore various activities in the area.

The service was outstanding. the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We were pleasantly surprised with the complementary cake and goodies in our room upon arrival. the location was perfect, with beautiful views of the lake and excellent recommendations from the reception staff. the heated pool was a definite highlight and provided a relaxing atmosphere after a long day of exploring.

The parking was a tight squeeze and made it difficult to maneuver our car. the distance to town was a bit far to walk, especially in inclement weather.

Stayed at The Reef Resort for a few days with family. Great location near the foreshore with amazing views. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The ground floor apartment was perfect for us, with plenty of space and beautiful views. The facilities, including the spa and thermal pool, were excellent. We received all the necessary information from the lovely staff without having to ask. The studio was well set up with comfortable furniture, a dining table, and a desk. Everything was spotlessly clean, including the bathroom and comfy bed.

The location of the hotel was ideal, with close proximity to the beautiful lakeside for tranquil morning walks. The shared area provided a serene atmosphere for relaxation. Additionally, the hotel was conveniently located near the town center, making it easily accessible for exploration. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped with comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, and the staff provided exceptional service. Guests also enjoyed the added advantage of free wifi and access to bikes for outdoor activities.

There was one drawback regarding the cooking utensils provided, as the non-stick pan was not available, making cooking certain foods tedious and difficult.
