Great views from the room and amazing star-gazing opportunities at night. Very quiet at night, perfect for a romantic escape. the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

The road leading to the hotel was in poor condition and difficult to navigate. the lack of restaurant options in the area made it difficult to find a place to eat dinner.

Hosts Gary and Wendy were incredibly welcoming and informative, enhancing our enjoyable stay. The beautiful garden area and refreshing swimming pool were perfect for relaxation. The highlight of my stay was when Gary took me on a tour of their dairy cow operation - it was such a unique and educational experience. The surroundings of Thorold Country House were simply breathtaking, and my accommodations were spacious, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. Despite the slight inconvenience of not having a coffee pot in the room, Gary went above and beyond to ensure I had plenty of coffee. The location is a bit out of town, but I didn't mind at all as it provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend staying at Thorold Country House - it truly exceeded all my expectations.
