We had a fantastic stay at Tokaanu Lodge. We were a group of five and found the accommodation to be very affordable and spacious. The kitchen area was well-equipped, allowing us to cook delicious meals. The beds and overall space were comfortable, and we loved having the spa pools just a few steps away. The location was peaceful and relaxing, ensuring a quiet and enjoyable stay. The lodge's commitment to sustainability, with recycling and composting, was also commendable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making our experience even better. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Great location, so many activities to choose from, like hiking and cycling. The Tongariro Crossing was stunning. Turangi is famous for trout fishing, fancy catching a big one? Cons: Who needs modern decor, right? The lodge's rustic charm was a unique touch.

During our stay, the weather was quite gloomy with constant rain, but we were pleasantly surprised by the family pool at Tokaanu Lodge Motel. It turned out to be a lifesaver for both the kids and adults. The children had a blast going back and forth between the pool and the trampoline, finding joy even in the rain. Despite the limited time we had to explore the nearby mountain, the motel's pool experience made up for it. It was definitely worth it, especially considering the disappointing service and high prices on the mountain.

Despite these positive experiences, there were a few drawbacks. We found that the table in the family unit we stayed in could have been a bit larger, as it only seated four people despite the unit accommodating up to nine.

Clean, well-equipped room. Friendly owners, gave great South Island recommendations. Enjoyed the hot pools. Affordable for large families. Convenient stop on way home.
