The Hotel Melia Panama Canal offers a great outdoor pool, friendly staff, and beautiful views of Lake Gutan. The large rooms and comfortable beds make for a pleasant stay. The buffet breakfast and dinner options are excellent, and we enjoyed spotting wildlife outside our window. The hotel's location near the Aqua Clara Locks and downtown area is very convenient.

The hotel had a great history and was located in a stunning location, surrounded by lush gardens and tropical vegetation. the pool was beautiful, with coconut trees and gardens all around. the staff were kind and helpful, and the restaurant had good food with a variety of options, even for vegan guests.

The hotel seemed to be overrated, as it didn't live up to its five-star reputation. the room we stayed in didn't have a view of the lake, and the color combinations of the curtains and bedspread were dull and unmatched.

I loved the location on Lake Gatun and the howler monkeys. Day trip to Portobelo was also very interesting. The hotel is in an old hospital/military school, which adds to its charm. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. The wifi was excellent and the pool was extra large. Free parking was a great convenience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this grand hotel. The room was spacious and had a lovely view of Lake Gutan. The large swimming pool with a swim-up bar was a definite highlight. The hotel's décor was impressive and it had a nice blend of Panamanian culture. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

We had a fantastic time at Melia Panama Canal. The pool was absolutely amazing, with stunning architecture both inside and out. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the grounds and pool were well-maintained. We also loved the fact that the hotel had a rich history, once serving as the School of the Americas. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets offered a wide variety of delicious options. we had a great stay and would highly recommend this lovely historic hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We spent Christmas in a hotel with great vacation vibes. the rooms were cozy and well-furnished, with a breathtaking view of the lake. the staff was accommodating and friendly, making our stay very comfortable. the hotel's location was perfect as it was near to local attractions and had a reliable shuttle service.

The wifi signal was weak which made it difficult for us to stay connected, and it was fairly crowded at times. the parking facilities weren't easily accessible, which made getting to the hotel by car a bit of a hassle.
