The staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly.

Unfortunately, we found ourselves in a tough situation during our stay. The sewage issue on our final day was quite disheartening and made it uncomfortable for us. While Richard’s kindness allowed us to stay past check-out to address our concerns, it did overshadow what could have been an otherwise enjoyable experience.

I also expected a fridge in my room, since isn’t that standard? I almost wrote a glowing review, but honestly, Richard never offered a room upgrade despite all these inconveniences. So disappointed.

Staying at Sol y Sombra was an absolute dream! Richard crafted delicious personalized breakfasts that made each morning feel special, and the spacious room with a patio was perfect for lounging while listening to the waves. The stunning outdoor swimming pool surrounded by palm trees invited hours of relaxation in the sun.

While the spacious room was a pleasant surprise, the lack of a fridge was somewhat inconvenient for keeping drinks cool. Additionally, I noticed that the area felt quite remote, which required us to rely heavily on taxis to access Bocas Town.

It was just a well-suited match for a short-term stay in Bocas del Toro with fantastic value for money. I loved starting my mornings with an amazing breakfast prepared right at my request, it really set the tone for the day. Renting a scooter made it super easy to explore the area and find hidden beaches.
