We had a wonderful stay at this charming hacienda near the small village of El Carmen. The location was perfect, with the church just a short walk away and providing a peaceful atmosphere. Our room was spacious and clean, with a lovely bathroom that had an indirect skylight for plenty of natural light. The staff provided excellent service and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel also had great facilities, including a pool and horse stables, making it ideal for families or those looking to relax and unwind.

Although the hotel had limited dining options, there were no walkable restaurants nearby.

I had the most incredible stay at a charming and historic hotel in Peru. The hotel, situated near a small village, transported me back in time with its old-world charm and captivating history. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and there were plenty of activities and outings available for guests. The food was delicious, and the spacious rooms, although dated, added to the character of the place. The grounds were expansive, offering a serene and relaxing atmosphere, and the hotel even had its own pool and horse stables. I particularly enjoyed the Afro-Peruvian dance shows during my stay. The hotel also offered tours of its catacombs and former slave quarters, which were fascinating. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to experience the history and charm of Peru.

A beautiful and peaceful gated property surrounded by stunning fields. The hotel was a traditional colonial house furnished with luxurious and high-quality fittings including air-conditioned rooms with plenty of hot water. We had a great experience learning about the history of the property during a free tour. The hotel also had a huge garden, massive terraces, and a great pool to relax in.

The location was quite remote - it took around 10-15 minutes to drive back to the nearby town and main highway. the hotel food was comparatively expensive, so we opted to eat out.
