I stayed at Beira Rio in Mertola for a family vacation and was pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous views and spacious family room. The balcony with a river view was huge and the breakfast buffet was the best we had in Portugal. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the castle and beautiful Mertola. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially with my kids. The toilet facilities were excellent and safe. Comfortable beds and air-conditioned rooms were a must in the summer.

We stayed in a lovely suite with a breathtaking view of the river and castle. The large balcony allowed us to relax and take in the stunning scenery. The location was fantastic, with many great restaurants and attractions within walking distance. We especially enjoyed exploring the town square and indulging in delicious local pastries at the café. The staff were incredibly helpful and the room was clean and well-maintained.

The shower in our suite was quite small and lacked sufficient space to place our toiletries.

Despite a few minor issues with the internet and finding the staff at times, the overall stay was enjoyable and relaxing. I would highly recommend Beira Rio for a tranquil and memorable stay in Mertola.

During our stay, we enjoyed the hot summer nights with a beautiful view of the river and castle from our terrace. The friendly staff made our stay even more enjoyable. We didn't book breakfast, but it wasn't a problem as there was a bakery nearby and a nice coffee shop just a short walk away.

The one downside was that there were no plug for the bath in our room.

The hotel location was great, as it was situated overlooking a river and had some stunning views. the room was adequately clean, and the towels were replenished daily, which was a nice touch. the staff was very friendly and helpful, which made my stay more comfortable.

Despite these positive aspects, the amenities in the room could be improved. the walls were thin, and I could hear noises from neighboring rooms.

We had a wonderful stay at a hotel with a perfect location. The staff at Beira Rio was incredibly nice and even gave us a free upgrade to a room with a terrace overlooking the river. The buffet breakfast was delicious and worth the extra cost. The room had everything we needed and a beautiful view of the river. The hotel also had a pool with river views, perfect for a refreshing dip on hot days. And the small bar outside was a great spot to enjoy drinks and take in the scenery.
