The owner, Paulo, went above and beyond to ensure our stay at Casa Miriam was exceptional. He greeted us upon arrival and even saved a parking spot for us. His friendly and helpful nature made us feel welcome and taken care of. Additionally, he made a dinner reservation for us at a nearby restaurant that turned out to be excellent.

The church bells ringing every 15 minutes from 7 am to 10 pm might be an inconvenience for those who prefer to sleep in or have babies. However, I found the ringing to be quite nostalgic and added to the medieval atmosphere of the place.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, right opposite the main church in the city. The house itself is very cozy and cute, with an authentic feel to it. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff, especially Ana and her dad Paulo, were extremely helpful and welcoming. They made sure that my stay was enjoyable and comfortable. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the facilities provided.

Located right opposite the main church, Casa Miriam in Belmonte offered us an authentic and interesting experience. The house itself was incredibly comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. It was fascinating to wake up to the sound of church bells, feeling like we had been transported back in time. Additionally, the location was perfect, being only an hour away from the most interesting attractions in Sera da Estrela. While there were a few minor complaints mentioned in previous reviews, such as a squeaky bed and a lack of kitchen utensils, they did not significantly impact our overall enjoyment of our stay. The renovation of the casa was well-thought out and interesting, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Paulo, the host, was extremely helpful and accommodating, even reserving a table for us at a nearby restaurant. despite a few small issues, we had an exceptional experience at Casa Miriam.
