The pool at Strip By Check-In Portugal was absolutely filthy when we arrived, with bottle tops and debris floating in it. We were unable to use it for the first two days of our stay. The pool pump was also broken, which meant that the water was not being filtered properly. It was a major disappointment and took away from our vacation experience. Additionally, there were several maintenance issues with the villa, including a broken bed, a broken blind, and a window that wouldn't lock. We also found it misleading that there was supposed to be a table tennis table, but it was missing. The lawns and hedges were also overgrown and not properly maintained until halfway through our stay. Communication with the agent in Portugal was poor, as they only responded to phone calls and not text messages. the support from the agent was lacking and the experience left a lot to be desired.

The location of the villa was fantastic, just a 2-minute walk to the top of the strip. Despite its proximity to the lively area, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. the facilities in the kitchen were great and we loved the open plan layout. the villa easily accommodated our party of 6 adults and had everything we needed, and more. the beautiful garden and pool were well kept and added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. there were plenty of nearby shops and bars for convenience.
