I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The view from my balcony was breathtaking, overlooking both the ocean and the mountains. The room was spacious and comfortable, with great kitchen facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they even upgraded me to a suite upon arrival. The hotel is located in a quiet area with beautiful gardens, and it's just a short walk to the Forum shopping center. I loved the easy access to public transportation, with buses right outside the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options to choose from. a wonderful experience at Golden Residence.

The location was perfect for me, as it was within about 30 minutes walking distance to Funchal center and just a 5-minute walk to a local beach with black volcanic sand. Additionally, being close to the 'Forum' shopping center was super handy for me, as it provided easy access to a large supermarket. The staff were friendly and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable.

During our stay at the hotel, we were delighted by the great breakfast buffet, the friendly staff, and the eco-friendly aspect of the hotel. We also appreciated the hotel's commitment to being environmentally friendly. The swimming pools and spa were also a highlight, providing a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The hotel's location near a shopping mall, bus stop, and restaurants made it convenient for exploring the area. The suite we were upgraded to was spacious and comfortable, providing us with a home away from home. The hotel also had a good WiFi connection and air conditioning in the rooms, ensuring our comfort during our stay.

Drawbacks: However, we did encounter a cockroach in our room, which was not a sign of cleanliness. The room itself felt a bit "dated" and lacked certain features such as shelves for storing clothes and a washing rack/line.

We stayed in Golden Residence for a week and it was perfect. The rooms are spacious, fully equipped kitchenet, indoor and outdoor pool, spa, and a stunning ocean view. The hotel is conveniently located near Praia Formosa beach and Forum Madeira shopping center. The staff is kind and helpful. We will definitely come back!

The room/suite at Golden Residence was incredibly spacious, with a huge bed that provided the best sleep we've ever had. The wet room was also very roomy and convenient. Although the hotel is located a little way out of the city center, there is a bus stop right outside with buses running every 20 minutes, making it easy to get around. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and accommodating.

They even surprised my husband on his birthday with a bottle of sparkling wine and a heartfelt note. The little touches like this made our stay truly special. They also offered fantastic spa packages, including massages. I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to a suite with a beautiful sea view. the room was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean. the location of the hotel was perfect, with stunning sea views, a quiet atmosphere, and easy access to a nearby bus stop. the hotel also provided pool towels, which was a nice touch. On top of everything, they even surprised me with some complimentary fruits for my birthday celebration.
