Two great advantages of this hotel are the fantastic location, in the heart of the shopping district, and the spotless cleanliness, from the public areas to the rooms. the staff is very friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any needs or requests.

The breakfast could use some improvement, as it can get repetitive after a while and some of the dishes are not very appealing. the rooms could benefit from a refresh, with lighter colors and perhaps some USB charging points, as well as a fridge.

This hotel is situated in a lovely area, right next to the cathedral and a taxi rank. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with the added bonus of a small balcony overlooking Monte and the Botanical Gardens. The staff is helpful and the breakfast provides a good start to the day. There is also a great room and terrace on the fifth floor with views over the old town.

We had a great romantic escape at this hotel. the cozy and spacious room with a French balcony was perfect for our getaway. the air conditioning was a lifesaver in the summer heat. the location was key, being right in the heart of the city with easy access to shops, bars, and restaurants. We loved being able to explore Funchal without having to travel far. And the cherry on top was the friendly service we received from the staff. They were always ready to assist and made us feel welcome.

The old furniture in the room was a bit disappointing, and we were concerned about the security of our belongings as the safe was not fixed to the wall. on the last day, we had an issue with payment confusion at the reception desk.
