We recently stayed at a fantastic youth hostel in Santa Maria, Azores. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the brand new and clean facilities. the location was perfect, situated in the Old Town and surrounded by flat walking paths for easy exploration. the hostel owner, Ricardo, was incredibly gracious and fluent in English, providing helpful recommendations during our stay. We loved the convenience of the electronic code entry, allowing us to come and go as we pleased. the hostel also had a well-maintained swimming pool and vending machines. the bathrooms were in excellent condition and the WiFi was reliable. it was one of the best youth hostels we've ever stayed in.

We had a fantastic time at Azores Youth Hostels in Vila do Porto. Our stay was extended from 4 to 9 nights because of how much we enjoyed it. The hostel, located in a beautifully renovated convent, offered spacious and clean rooms with stunning views of the hills and sea. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was included and simple yet satisfying. We loved the convenient location, being close to restaurants, the marina, and the starting point of the GR01 walking route. The lounge area and pool were also great additions to make our stay even more enjoyable.

We can definitely recommend this hostel.

The location is ideal, situated on the main street and overlooking the sea. the facilities are great, with a beautiful pool that we unfortunately didn't have the chance to use. the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. the hostel was clean and well-maintained, and they even offered to store our luggage while we explored the island. a highly recommendable place to stay in Santa Maria.

The location is central with many dining and shopping options nearby. The room comfortably accommodates four people. Breakfast is good and the internet works well throughout the property. There is a cozy lounge area with sofas and a TV.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely fantastic - perched on a cliff with an incredible sea view. The hotel was conveniently located close to the center, restaurants, supermarkets, ferry terminals, airport. The ambience and decor were great, with clean and modern rooms that were surprisingly spacious. The staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond by offering me access to the hostel facilities and even the swimming pool after I checked out.

Great value for the money, the room was spacious and clean with a high ceiling. The location was convenient, especially for diving enthusiasts like me, as it was just a 5-minute walk from the marina. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The food for breakfast could be improved with a wider variety of options.

Wow, what a fantastic stay at the youth hostel in Santa Maria! The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city center with plenty of options for dining and shopping. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast served was delicious. I loved having access to the pool, it was such a great bonus and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The TV/lounge room was also a cozy spot to unwind. I had a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this hostel.

We loved the excellent location of the hostel, as it was within walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants, and other conveniences. The basic rooms had everything we needed, and being so close to the marina made it perfect for our diving excursions. The 10-15 minute walk to the restaurants was manageable, and the swimming pool was a great addition. The breakfast offered was sufficient, especially when you're out diving all day. The cleaning staff did an amazing job, always keeping the hostel spotless and sanitized.

We felt extremely welcomed during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
