We recently had a business trip in the charming village in the mountainous north of Portugal. the hotel we stayed at was absolutely amazing! the grounds were expansive and offered a great golf course and marked hiking routes. the staff exemplified genuine 5-star service, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We particularly enjoyed the superb food in the restaurant and the casual dining in the bar. the location of the hotel was also a great advantage, being only an hour and 15 minutes drive from the airport. we felt pampered and cared for in luxurious surroundings.

There was not much English spoken in the hotel or the small town, which made communication a bit challenging at times. However, the staff made every effort to overcome the language barrier and ensure our comfort.

As bike riders, we loved the beautiful pine forest setting and the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. The lush gardens and excellent spa facilities were perfect for relaxing after a long ride. The custom-built hot tub and luxurious Hammam added an extra touch of indulgence to our stay. The dining room made us feel like royalty, and the cocktails, especially the perfectly balanced Negroni, were a highlight. We also appreciated the attentive staff who made sure every detail was taken care of.

We felt very welcome throughout our stay and had no reason to complain.

This hotel provided a luxurious and exclusive experience with amazing amenities such as a Spa & wellness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, and Jacuzzi. the surrounding garden area was beautiful with sun loungers and beach umbrellas. the breakfast room and lobby bar was elegant and pleasing. the room had exclusive advantages with private facilities and treated our feet to the best foot massage.

Staff service was quick and efficient in accommodating our needs. Cons: there was only one minor issue concerning the bar's closing time being too early.
