I had an incredible stay at this beautiful vineyard property. The room I stayed in had a stunning view of the valley and the Douro River. Everything was clean and well-maintained, from the room itself to the grounds of the hotel. The staff, both in the restaurant and throughout the hotel, were friendly and provided excellent service. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh choices and the views from the dining area were delightful. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed the wine tour, thanks to the guide who was not only friendly but also very knowledgeable.

We loved the friendly and helpful staff, especially Ines Patricio and Paulo Guedes. The views from the hotel were stunning, overlooking the rivers and vineyards. The pool and bar service were fantastic, and we enjoyed the on-site vineyard and wine tastings. The food at dinner and breakfast was amazing. The room had a lovely balcony with a beautiful view.

We highly recommend Vila Gale for a stay in the Douro Valley.

The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. It provided a perfect backdrop for a Christmas getaway.

That the hotel lacked certain amenities for rainy days, such as a doormat to keep the rooms clean and dry. It would have been helpful to receive more information in advance about wine-related activities and tours in the area.

We had an amazing experience at Vila Gale Douro. The staff was brilliant and the activities were incredible. The wine tasting and vineyard tour were enlightening and the views were breathtaking. The location was lovely, on top of the estate, providing a calm atmosphere. The hotel had a good pool, clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent staff. The buffet breakfast and dinner were generally of a really good standard. The front desk manager, Paulo Guedes, and the General Manager, Vasco Parente, made our visit enjoyable. The room was exceptional with a large suite and a comfortable king bed. The pool and wine tasting added to the overall experience. We highly recommend this property and will return on our next trip to the Douro Valley.

The variety of options was limited and the quality of the food was subpar. Another downside was the lack of certain amenities, such as a hairdryer in the room and a fitness center or spa facilities.
